Margie Engle leads list as USEF Names Seven East Coast Qualifiers for World Cup Finals

The seven riders that qualified from the East Coast for this year’s World Cup Final are:

1. Margie Engle, Wellington, FL, Quervo Gold, G/12/BWP, Wyndhurst Stables and Hidden Creek’s Alibi, G/12/Holsteiner, Hidden Creek Farm

Skidmore College Saratoga Classic Horse Show June 14 - 25, 2006

The shows, inaugurated in 1927,and brought back to life in 1998 are a highlight of the early summer season in Saratoga Springs. This top-level historic competition attracts many of the country’s best horses and riders, and benefits scholarships to Skidmore College students.

Laura Chapot and Sprite Secure Third WEF Circuit Championship with Tuesday Win; Rolling Thunder and Leslie Howard Roll On in 1.45m

The top two finishers from Sunday’s $75,000 Grand Prix of Tampa, Leslie Howard and Laura Chapot, notched the first two victories of the day on Tuesday as the 2006 Winter Equestrian Festival moved into the final homestretch at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center in Tampa, Florida. The Tournament of Champions, the last of nine weeks of exciting equestrian action, concludes with the $200,000 Budweiser American Invitational on Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium.
