The Future is at Capital Challenge - Today’s future hunters are tomorrow’s junior and amateur hunters

Upper Marlboro, MD –– Six years ago the management of the Capital Challenge Horse Show realized there was a need that existed for young hunters. The pre-green hunter division was popular at the show but needed to further satisfy trainer and owner needs. Nikko Ritter Wins Region 3 ASPCA Maclay Qualifier

New York, NY – Four Regional qualifying competitions for the ASPCA Maclay National Championship were held this past weekend on September 16-17, 2006.

The ASPCA Maclay class has been held since 1933, and its winners are some of the biggest names in equestrian sport. Previous winners include: William Steinkraus in 1941, Frank Chapot (1948), George Morris (1952), Leslie Burr (1972), Stacia Klein Madden in 1987, and Nicole Shahinian Simpson in 1992. (Read on…)
