Beth Underhill: finding that silver lining

Beth Underhill is one of the best-known and most popular riders in the world of Canadian show jumping. Born in 1962 in Guelph, Ontario, Underhill started riding at a YMCA camp in Georgetown. Her brothers had other summer activities lined up and her parents thought horseback riding might be just the thing for their young daughter. In 1969, she joined the Toronto-North York Pony Club and received its all-round education. Although eventing, games, and dressage were fun, she was intrigued by show jumping and, by the age of fifteen, decided to concentrate on it alone. (Read on…)

SmartPak Equine has released official details for their 2nd Annual Course Walk with Kim Severson and Amy Tryon at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day event,. The course walk will begin at the start box of the cross country course at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2006, rain or shine. Oklahoma takes Western and Gamecock Claims Hunt Seat NCAA Varsity National Title

Oklahoma State’s Western half of the equestrian team defeated Auburn on Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M., to win the Varsity Equestrian National Championship. “It has been a long year which makes this even more special,” said head coach Larry Sanchez. “The girls worked hard, put forward the effort and it showed.
