were is a team usa? and why is Lauren riding on a foreign team, she is a fantastic rider and we need her for the usa samsung tour.
toulouse - May 3rd, 2006 at 1:10 pmAccording to the samsung article Lauren is suppose to ride at Rome and Lucerne and they run at the same time as Hamburg and Wiesbaden. This appears to be a conflict of interest
toulouse - May 3rd, 2006 at 1:16 pmThe original Group A Team selected by the USEF was:
Group A:
Beezie Madden and Authentic
McLain Ward and Sapphire
Margie Engle and Hidden Creek’s Wapino
Laura Kraut and Miss Independent
Jeffrey Welles and Armani
Group B
Margie Engle and Quervo Gold
Lauren Hough and Casadora
Molly Ashe and Neuville
Christine McCrea and Promised Land
Candice King and Tarco
Group B will compete at CSIO Rome, May 25-28, 2006, CSIO Lucerne, June 1-4, 2006, and CSIO Rotterdam, June 22-25, 2006.
If you will note, Lauren is now part of the Group A Team that is competing at LaBaule. I assume that this change was to accommodate her riding on the European Rider’s Tour.
John Redfern - May 3rd, 2006 at 2:33 pmThey actually put Lauren on team A because Laura Kraut wanted to do the world cup finals. Laura would have been unable to compete in the finals and be a member of team A because the finals and La Baule run back to back. Meaning the same horses wouldn’t be able to compete at both shows logistically. So they just switched them.
