Michael Tokaruk and Lord Byron Win $25k Juan Hernandez Memorial Grand Prix

Asheville, NC –Mother Nature smiled brightly on a day intended to remember equestrian Juan Hernandez fondly with blue skies and sunshine for the $25,000 EMO sponsored Memorial Grand Prix. However no one smiled brighter than owner-rider Michael Tokaruk of Cordova, TN partnered with Lord Byron his 12 year-old Holsteiner gelding as they claimed victory over a tough field of competitors. Armando Hassey Wins Again in Colorado

Parker, CO—Armando Hassey continued his winning ways at the Colorado Horse Park by taking home the blue ribbon in the $40,000 AGA Rocky Mountain Grand Prix Presented by Murdoch’s. The 21-year-old amateur rider from Mexico City rode his 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion La Roche to the victory over some of the sport’s top professionals. Parker, Colorado. Rain and uncommonly cool weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of the competitors at the Colorado Circuit Opener held at the Colorado Horse Park July 5-9. In fact for amateur rider Armando Hassey, the conditions were just fine. Coming off a big week during the Circuit Preview, Hassey bested a field of top professionals to win the first of three Grand Prix competitions to be held during this year’s summer circuit at the Colorado Horse Park.
