The tenth edition of the San Patrignano’s CSI, organized by the anti-drug rehab center in Rimini and to be held on July 21-23, will be the first jumping show with the coveted five—star status, that means highest level of technical and competitive excellence and richest prize money. The list of the riders, who have confirmed their participation to the organizing committee, shows that this jumping show has become one of the most important appointment for the international top riders.

Ten of the twenty best riders of the FEI ranking list will participate to the competition: Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (no. 3 of the FEI ranking - SWE), Ludger Beerbaum (no. 5 GER), Gerco Schroder (no. 6 – NED), Markus Fuchs (no. 7 – SUI), Beezie Madden (no. 9 – USA), Nick Skelton (no.10 – GBR), Michael Whitaker (no. 12 – GBR), Marco Kutscher (no. 15 – GER) Laura Kraut (no. 18 –USA), John Whitaker (no. 20 –GBR). Together with them also champions like the Swiss rider Beat Mandli (no. 24) and the Belgian star Ludo Philippaerts (no. 29). Finally, as a chance of revenge for the gold individual medal won by the German rider Kutscher, also the Swiss Christina Liebherr and the Dutch Jeroen Dubbeldam (respectively silver and bronze medal at San Patrignano 2005) will take part in this show.

Duccio Bartalucci, the Italian Chef d’équipe, will reveal the name of the Italian riders only on the next days, because of the important appointment which will take place on next September in Germany, the world championships. Jerry Smit, leader of the San Patrignano Jumping Team, will ride three horses born and and raised on the grounds of the community: the stallion Nadir, mare Poiana and gelding Quadrifoglio

One of the news of this jumping show will take place on Sunday 23: the first auction offering foals, colts, fillies and young horses organized by the community. “It’s the last step of our breeding project – says Giacomo Muccioli, president of the organising committee – after years of successful results obtained in the competitions, we decided to embark on this new activity, the selling of horses prized for their bloodlines and a very good attitude to jumping”.

The twelve horses, ranging from one to three years of age offered to breeders and riders, express the high quality achieved by the San Patrignano’s breeding like Amarcord (by Corland and Khyra), Baudelaire (by Hahorn Z and Utopia), Bon Ton (by Parco and Berlina), Vescovo (by Concorde and Berlina). Finally, also the three fillies of the horse well known for her blue eyes: Ai Lian (by Indoctro and Weihaiwej), Banshi (by Tlaloc M and Weihaiwej) e Veihaiwej (by Voltaire and Weihaiwej).
