Ottawa, Ontario — Equine Canada (EC) regretfully announces the resignation of Don Adams, Executive Director.
“After a rewarding nine years within the equine industry, it is with mixed emotions that I announce my resignation,” commented Adams, who helped to guide EC through expansion and change. “I have thoroughly enjoyed leading the organization through challenging times of restructuring, resulting in growth and financial stability.”
EC President Al Patterson explained that in keeping with the evolving changes in the EC management structure, a thorough review of the Executive Director duties will be conducted to determine the most effective way to proceed. In this interim period, Patterson has stepped in to perform the Executive Director duties, and has authorized Debbie Millar, Director of Operations to be responsible for all day to day activities of the organization.
“We thank Don for his dedicated services over the years and give him our best wishes for a successful future,” noted Patterson.
Adams offers his personal thanks to the EC staff and each and every volunteer for their hard work and dedication.
“It is always difficult to leave people and a position behind that you have enjoyed. However, I am excited about the future and wish EC the very best and will always watch with interest the industry’s progress,” stated Adams.
