HEART Equine Ambulance Introduces New Executive Director

HEART Equine Ambulance is pleased to announce that Tereza Marks has joined the organization as Executive Director. She will be responsible for the overall administrative functions of the organization, including fundraising, public relations and humane education.

“We are extremely excited to have Tereza join us as Executive Director,” said Jill Parsons, Secretary of HEART. “Tereza’s experience and expertise in animal welfare and in the educational field will be a significant asset to our organization, and we are delighted to have her on board.”

Previously, Marks has served as President of the Calvert Animal Welfare League and of the Wildlife Rescue League of Virginia. She was also an associate professor of biological sciences at Prince George’s Community College.

Marks received her MS in Life Sciences from The University of Tennessee and her BS in Ecology from the University of Arizona. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators.
