Markus Fuchs of Switzerland won the FEI KL Grand Prix 2007 championships at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil. Fuchs, 52, who rode La Toya III, recorded a time of 49.48 sec without any faults to beat 15 other riders. His victory won him RM350,000.
Ellen Whitaker, 29, of the United Kingdom came in second and earned RM220,000 while Florian Meyer Zu Hartum, 31, of Germany was third and won RM160,000.
“This was a challenging event as several world-class riders participated here. I am fortunate this year unlike last year when my horse was injured,” Fuchs told reporters.
