Ottawa, Ontario — Jump Canada is pleased to announce that Kubota Canada Ltd. has been named the 2005 Sponsor of the Year.
The newly created award recognizes the significant impact that corporate sponsorship has on Canadian show jumping. Kubota Canada Ltd. made a substantial contribution as title sponsor of the Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series. Introduced in 2005, the Series linked top competitions across the country and provided venues from coast-to-coast to introduce up-and-coming stars on the Canadian show jumping scene. Complemented by national television coverage in a series entitled ‘Along for the Ride’, the Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series introduced the sport of show jumping to a whole new audience, as well as satisfying long-time fans.
Jump Canada was honoured to present the 2005 ‘Sponsor of the Year Award’ to Kubota Canada Ltd. on March 14, 2006, at Kubota’s corporate headquarters in Markham, ON. On behalf of Jump Canada, Butch Ferneyhough, Marketing Chair, and Craig Collins, member of the Finance Committee, made the presentation to Kubota Canada Ltd. representatives Ross Wallace, General Manager of Sales and Marketing, and John Gilliland, National Marketing Manager.

In 2005, the Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series encompassed seven horse shows in both Eastern and Western divisions and culminated at the National Finals held during Toronto’s Royal Horse Show last November. The 2006 Kubota Cup Show Jumping Series kicks off April 1 at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon, MB.
