West Coast Active Riders Organization Reminds Applicants of Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations Deadline

Wellington, FL – March 14, 2026 – Preparation for the 2006 West Coast Active Riders (WCAR) Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations Teams is currently underway as WCAR continues to improve the California Show Jumping scene. Tammy Chipko, member of the 2006 1.40M Spruce Meadows team, is currently organizing the Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations program and encourages competitors to meet the application deadline.

Applications for the WCAR Prix de Nations teams competing at Spruce Meadows are due on March 22, 2006. Chipko reminds athletes that these should be sent in as soon as possible and will not be accepted after the closing date.

The Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations will be held the week of June 22-25, 2006, with the Prix de Nations classes taking place on Friday the 23rd. Chipko is pleased to announce that the Spruce Meadows competition is putting aside this week for Junior and Amateur riders only and offering $140,000 in prize money.

“We really want this to be the best year yet for WCAR members and the teams that will represent us at Spruce Meadows,” commented Chipko. “As with any non-profit organization, we always seek financial assistance. I am currently looking for people that might have interest in sponsoring some of our wish list items for Spruce Meadows.”

Items available for sponsorship include: Dress Sheets with WCAR Logo made by Creative Saddlery, Inc., Hunt Coats from Grand Prix, New Saddle Pads with the WCAR Logo, Ear Bonnets with the WCAR Logo, Gifts for team members presented at the Spruce Meadows Team dinner, and the WCAR Team Party held the night before the Prix de Nations class at Spruce Meadows.

“We would be really grateful to anyone interested in making a donation towards one of the listed items,” related Chipko. “We have been able to get these listed items at cost, due to the generosity of the companies providing them. We cannot run this organization without your help, and we truly appreciate any and all donations.”

WCAR thanks Heritage Gloves for sponsoring new gloves for all team members. These were sold in vendor stands at HITS Indio Desert Circuit and are currently sold at local tack stores.
