BURBANK, CA - For the third year in a row, Langer Equestrian Group, Inc. is awarding week long vacations at a premier resort in Maui to professional horsemen. “I really wanted to offer a meaningful award to professionals,” said company president, Larry Langer. “I was a professional horseman for many years, and I personally know how hard trainers work.” Winners receive an eight day stay at the stunning Maui Marriott Ocean Resort situated on Ka’anapali Beach.
At LEG’s Los Angeles based shows, professional Dan Silverstone earned a trip to Maui as the professional rider on the winning team in the Memorial Day Equitation Challenge in May.
A second week in Maui is awarded to the professional who accrues the most points in the Colorado Trainer Incentive comprised of the eight hunter/jumper shows held at the Colorado Horse Park. With only two shows left to go, the 2004 winner, Tracye Ferguson is in the lead.
However, Molly Rinedollar and Becky Andrews are hot on her heels. The winner will be announced at the High Prairie Fall Classic (September 14-17), which is a double point show. The top three trainers also receive cash awards.
The third Maui vacation is awarded to the highest scoring trainer in the Woodside Hunter Incentive. Once again, Leslie Nelson is in the lead. John Bragg is in second, followed by Lyn Irving. The final show in the seven show series is the Woodside Fall Finale (September 28 - October 1).
