Coles, Jacobs, Beal-Andros, Edrick and Bauer Lead 2006 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series Following Early Spring Events

Tampa, FL— The 2006 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series saw 10 exciting events in March and April—five in the East and five in the West Conference.  The Series kicked off in February and continues through November, culminating in a Year-End Championship to be held at the National Horse Show in Wellington, FL.

Sloane Coles and La Movida led the junior division standings in the East Conference, while Louis Jacobs and Caucalis sat in first place in the amateur-owner division.  In the West Conference, Paige Beal-Andros and Gelha’s Junior led the junior division.  Megan Edrick with Kandel and Fred Bauer riding Roma M were tied for the lead in the amateur-owner division standings.

Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series East Conference – Junior Division

In the junior division of the East Conference, Sloane Coles of The Plains, VA, led the pack with 420 points aboard La Movida.  In second was Addison Phillips of New York, NY, who had 370 points with Flight.  Rounding out the top three was Aimee Aron of Keswick, VA, with 340 points riding Jamaica.

Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series East Conference – Amateur-Owner Division

Leading the amateur-owner division in the East with 270 points was Louis Jacobs of East Aurora, NY, and Caucalis.  Following Jacobs in second was Sarah Segal of New York, NY, with 245 points aboard True Love, and in third was Charlie Jayne of Elgin, IL, with 220 points on Urbanus.

Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series West Conference – Junior Division

The West Conference of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series kicked off its 2006 run in March.  Paige Beal-Andros of Pebble Beach, CA, took the early lead in the junior division with 150 points riding Gelha’s Junior.  In second with 125 points was Hannah Selleck of Thousand Oaks, CA, aboard Bauer, and in third was Amber Levine of Temecula, CA, who had 80 points with Anna Karenina.

Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series West Conference – Amateur-Owner Division

Stiff competition in the West led to a tie for the top spots in the amateur-owner division standings.  Megan Edrick of Woodland Hills, CA, with Kandel and Fred Bauer of Millbrae, CA, with Roma M were tied in first with 150 points a piece.  In another tie for third, Brenda Riddell of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Morgan Taylor of Salinas, CA, each had 110 points aboard Leo 127 and Adonis, respectively.

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame and Museum at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL was established in 1987 and formally opened in 1989.  It was organized to promote the sport of show jumping and to immortalize the legends of the men, women and horses who have made great contributions to the sport.  The Show Jumping Hall of Fame also conducts the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series, held under Grand Prix rules and specifications.

The Series is designed to give amateur-owner and junior riders an opportunity to compete at higher levels and serves as a proving ground for many riders who aspire to someday represent the United States in international competition.

Any horse show offering a class that meets all the criteria set forth in the 2006 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Series specifications and has prize money of at least $1,000 is eligible to be part of the Series.
